It’s no secret that I’m hugely inspired by the nature that surrounds me. I devoted my newest stencil collection to this source of inspiration. the Swedish Summer!
Nature continues to inspire me since I work at Kraftcentralen1911, on the second floor, above the beautiful flower shop Lilla Wextverk. It was just a small step from there to the idea of painting plants on a piece of furniture.
This dresser, the tiniest I have ever seen, almost like children’s furniture, was a perfect fit for my new botanical border stencil.
I painted this piece in the colour Ash from Fusion Mineral Paint and the botanical pattern in Park Bench with accents in Renfrew Blue and Enchanted Echinacea.
It’s my first experiment with plants on furniture and I’m not sure where I’ll place it. What do you think? Would this work in your decor?
