It has been a long time since I shared a ‘meet the muses’- interview. I had a chat with Eva Ekestern from Ekesterna Furniture Restoration in Uppsala in Sweden.

When I first saw Eva’s Instagram account, it was brand new, but it was high quality from the start. The colour choice, furniture choice, staging and photography blew me away. I’ve been in the business of painted furniture for many years now and I know that many people go through a learning process with their painted furniture business, one little step at a time. Social media, photography, staging, … learning everything takes time. Fall, folk art and fun - Dala Muses

I like playing with words and letters: that explains the (maybe weird) title of this post. Fall, folk art and fun. This week I wanted to have a little ‘fun’ with milk paint and my camera. A small creative project. I just wanted to pop in today to show you the result. Fall was at its peak, everything in nature around us was deep yellow and I knew it wouldn’t take long before every single leaf would be on the ground. I wanted to enjoy the Fall atmosphere until that last little bit, and working on a Fall vignette in our living room felt appropriate. Read more
